Important Information for iOS Users with 3 GB RAM or Less
Commanders,
We are aware that many players using iOS devices with 3 GB RAM or less are currently experiencing major performance problems, including:
- The game no longer loading
- Frequent freezes
- Crashes
- Interruptions during gameplay
Why is this happening?
After closely monitoring the issue, we believe this is mainly related to an iOS update released in March.
This update appears to use more RAM resources on affected devices. As a result, some older or lower-spec iOS devices are unfortunately no longer fully compatible with the current version of EMERGENCY HQ.
In addition, EMERGENCY HQ naturally becomes larger over time as we continue adding:
- New missions
- New units
- Events
- Features
- Systems and content updates
Even though we continuously work on optimization, these growing requirements can create increasing problems for devices with lower RAM specifications.
What are we doing about it?
We have been aware of this issue and are:
- Monitoring the situation continuously
- Investigating ways to reduce game size
- Looking into memory optimizations where possible
However, this is a very large technical task, and we currently cannot promise:
- A specific timeline for improvements
- That a complete long-term fix will be possible
Future iOS updates may continue increasing memory usage, while EMERGENCY HQ itself will continue growing as new content is added regularly.
Is there a workaround?
At the moment, unfortunately, we do not have a direct short-term solution we can offer inside the game.
If possible, we currently recommend:
- Using a different device with more RAM
- Trying the web version on a PC or laptop
We understand how frustrating this situation is for affected players and greatly appreciate your understanding while we continue investigating possible improvements.
Your EmergencyHQ-Team
